Rig Descender Repairable

The descender for technicians who work rope every day. The Petzl RIG is built for experienced rope access professionals who need a compact, dependable tool that keeps up with the demands of real work. The repairable version extends that commitment further: when the cam and pin wear down, you replace the parts, not the device.

AUTO-LOCK holds your position at a workstation without tying off or holding the handle. The moving side plate opens while the device stays on your harness, keeping intermediate anchor passes efficient. Two descent modes — over the side plate or through the V-shaped friction channel — let you adapt to load and conditions on the fly. Reinforced protection on the friction zone means wear is concentrated where it's manageable, and the cam geometry maintains consistent rope pinch throughout the life of the device.

TO USE: Install rope using the integrated markings and rope guide. Connect to harness or anchor as required. Select descent mode based on load and conditions. Handle automatically returns to storage position when rope is removed, reducing snag risk on the harness.
